I am an American (NRI, if you would
like to call me that, although I was born there, so I don't know how
applicable the term is), and am here for 4 months to work with Saathi
(www.saathi.org), a Mumbai-based NGO that works with street youths.
I wanted to write you because I went to college in the States, and
thought that maybe I can be of assistance to your web site
and cause by putting you in touch with colleges, which are full of
students that are always willing to go overseas to volunteer.
I leave Bombay on Jan 15th, and was wondering if there was anything
you had in mind about pursuing students from overseas and also what
you currently have in place in that regard. Since I am working with
Saathi (on 4-5 projects at any given time), I do not have that much
time to offer while I am here in Bombay, however, I would be interested
in offering you help once
I return to the US.
