Near Elizabeth Hospital, is doing excellent work for underprivileged children.
Do extend your help with any of the following:
Materials - any food, shoes, slippers,
old clothes for the family, vitamin tablets, etc.
Services - talk to them about nature,
teaching crafts, gymnastics, bus for outings, etc.
Volunteers - anyone who is serious.
Bal Anand has been operating since 50
years. It is looked after by Mrs. Devi Mangaldas who is personally present
there all the time. It caters to 115 children. (60 children from 8:30
to 10:30 am, and 55 via a balwadi later).

Greetings from Mobile Creches!
As part of our Balwadi teachers training
course, we would like to take our group of 10 trainees to visit a maternity
home/hospital where they could get a chance to see the sonography
equipment, exhibits of the prenatal stages of development of a child
etc. The related topic has been completed theoretically, but practical
exposure is lacking.
Kindly suggest hospitals tht allow such
visits.

have Three great Projects of Hospital Upgradation I give details of what
we, at Rotary, had done last year. We are looking for financial support
for the same.
Upgradation of Public Hospitals: 18
such hospitals were identified at the beginning of the year and Rotary
clubs were requested to provide better facilities for the patients &
their relatives coming there. This was done by improving the OPDs/seating
arrangements, lighting, provision of drinking water, better toilets at
the cost of appx. Rs. 75 lacs. State of the Art - 10 bed Trauma Care Ward at Rajawadi Municipal Hospital, Ghatkopar East was started on June 30, 2004 at the cost of Appx. Rs. 2 Crores. Out of this Rotary has spent Rs. 30 lacs but was mainly instrumental in giving shape to this project which was delayed due to various reasons. OPD of the Premier J.J. Hospital was Renovated,
Computerised and Upgraded along with Senior Citizens Clinic at the cost
of Rs. 70 lacs (Rs. 40 Lacs in Cash & Rs. 30 Lacs in kind) during
May 2004. This was Inaugurated by H.E. Gov. of Maharashtra, Shri Mohd
Fazal in presence of prominent Govt. and Community Leaders recently.

have a friend who is fully blind in one eye and partially blind in the other,
that too is donated - don't know the exact medical term for his condition.
Anyways, he was perfectly normal till a few years back. He is an engineer
(metallurgy) and is trained in some computer skills. He has worked in web
designing for some overseas client.
Will it be possible to get details about
employment opportunities for people like him? if you can get me contact info for any NGOs
