Vision
C1ean Urban Public Toilets and Adequate
Rural Sanitation for Everyone.
Mission
With a global voice and timely activities, advocate
better standards for sustaining environmental sanitation. And provide
clean public toilets everywhere without additional duress to our
environment.
Introduction
WT0 is a non-profit
organization established in Singapore in 2001. The organization
communicates the need for better toilet standards in both
the developed and developing economies of the world and provides
a service platform for all toilet associations, related organizations
and committed individuals to facilitate an exchange
of ideas, health and cultural issues.
Today WTO
comprises 50 international members including the Restroom Association
of Singapore, the Japan Toilet Association, Korea Clean Toilet Association,
the Taiwan Toilet Organization, the Australia Toilet Association,
Beijing Tourism Bureau
and the British Toilet Association.
Activates include
1. Research & development (i.e.
Benchmark Toilet Research, in collaboration with
the National University of Singapore);
2. Conferences (i.e. World Toilet Summit,
World Toilet Forum & Expo);
3. Training academy (i.e. World Toilet
College, in collaboration with Singapore
Polytechnic);
4. World Toilet Day, 19 November of
each year;
5. Emergency Disaster projects (i.e.
tsunami affected areas of India/Sri Lanka,Banda Aceh and Meulaboh).
