This is a school for diffferently abled children (Hearing Impaired). They are in  the age group of 3 -17 , fourteen years of schooling leading to SSC examination. We have specially trained teachers to teach them and bring them to the mainstream of life. They need a lot of help and a constant follow up.

We have a moderately set up building, but not sufficient. I was trying to get some finance to put up two more floors on the existing building , for additional classrooms, to introduce Vocational Training courses, like tailoring , computers, printing technology, fashion designing etc, to mention a few. It all needs space and our present building has provision for three more floors. These children learn Vocational courses easily so it will help them to stand their own. Children are from middle and lower middle- class.

So Sirs, I request you on behalf of the disabled children for help and generous contribution.

The Estimate for building ( two floors) is 97,00,000 (Ninetyseven lakhs)
Estimate for Funitures and Equipements to start with is 40,00,000 (forty lakhs)
This school is in the heart of Mumbai city. 2 kms from Dadar Rly. Station.

This School- The Stephen High School for the Deaf- is run by the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel which runs many educational institutions in India - formal schools, Special Schools for the Deaf and Blind, schools for the Tribals, Street children and slum dwellers, etc. Our vision is "Let Every child get their Right of education" and getting into the mainstream,
specially the unfortunate ones. This school is recognised and partially aided by the Maharastra Govt.
