ANMOL (Anmol means Priceless)
A
Project for Girls at Risk at Wadala, Mumbai
Organised by the Salesian Sisters
Anmol, which
means Priceless,
is a project for young girls who run away from home and security
to avoid danger and harm, but often end up living lives of
greater risk on the streets.
The Salesian
Sisters at Wadala, Mumbai have taken up this challenge of
protecting these girls, helping to rescue them from dangerous
situations while enabling them to get some form of education
and self-support.
The project
aims to get these girls to return to their homes or to begin
new lives equipped with social, educational and employable
skills.
ANMOL is
a project for girls on the street below 14 years of age.
TARGET
GROUP:
- Runways
- Girls
who are born on the street and leave on the streets.
OUR VISION
To provide
the girls on the street with a healthy human environment conducive
to their education and growth.
OBJECTIVES
- To
restore human dignity and build up self esteem of the girls
on the street.
- To
restore the girls, back to the family.
- To
provide them with facilities for recreation, medical aid
and education.

Sunday / festival meal for 26 girls at eh Anmol residential

conduct a class for two hours on the street Rs. 1000/- per
month. (Teachers, salary, material and traveling face for
the girls once a month to the center)
- Uniform

Sugar)
