Amcha Ghar is a registered Trust and Society, registered under Bombay Public Trust Act and the Societies Act .It came into existence on 14 April 1996. Thanks to Ms. Susheela Singh and Mr.A.Dias who have personally witness of sexual abuse and prejudices towards girl child on the street. Social workers, lawyers, doctors, and other well wishers joined hands to form it at Uttan village that is 7-8 km away from Bhayander City. It provides residential and other facilities needed for the total development of destitute girls from all over the country.

 It avails legal papers ie, 80G, FCRA, licence under women and child welfare, u/s 35ac. (100% deduction from income Tax) Its thrust also goes towards preventing commercial sex work. Today 50% of the inmates are from this section of society. They go to English medium school and obtain good percentage and ranks. They are well known for their mannerism and discipline in the locality. At Amcha Ghar, children find a secure healthy family environment to grow rather than carry a stigma in the society. It helps them to develop their own identity in an accepted manner in today’s society.Its main thrust is towards an English Medium Education that will make them self-sufficient and provide them status in the fast growing world. Amcha Ghar Organization has started a Govt. Recog school that advances one standard every year to accommodate the inmates and local people around.

Amcha Ghar aims to start a full- fledged compact campus that would consist of a full fledge School, Home and a Technical Institution. This will provide facilities to the inmates and poor kids of the near locality that consist of population in lacs.

Amcha Ghar believes in becoming independent before making inmates to be independent. Because they are tomorrow’s future social workers of Amcha Ghar.
