And also provides counselling, publishes a list of services for the disabled and encourages co-operation among workers in the field; conducts research surveys and publishes findings.  Provides counseling for parents.  Promotes various sports and recreational activities for mentally handicapped persons.  Lobbies for the rights of the mentally handicapped i.e. collaborates with local police & transports authorities to provide facilities for the mentally handicapped.
