Impounding of Stray
Cattle’s: As per provision of section 411-c to 441-G of Municipal
cattle pound office, near industrial estate, Kanchpada,
Ramchandra Lane
(Extn.) Malad (W), (Tel. No. 28820296). The claim of the animals
is prosecuted in the court and after the claimant is penalized by
the court, the cattles are released on branding under order from
the magistrate and on payment of pound charges. Branded cattles
if sized again are not released and are sold to Bombay Humanitarian
League on condition that they should take the cattle outside Brihan
Mumbai limits and give to the needy farmers. The stray pigs are
sized and sent to Deonar Abdttoir for destruction as per provision
of section 384 (2) of the B.M.C Act.
