Spreading awareness on the dangers inherent in accepted social practices such as chewing of tobacco, early marriage, multiple pregnancies, etc, which are responsible for approximately 70% of cancers in India, Initiating steps for the early detection of cancer since treatment at this stage leads to a cure in a majority of cases. 
CPAA holds cancer screening camps directed towards early detection. CPAA provides the facility free of charge at our clinics at Prabhadevi and Naigaon every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday-no appointment necessary. CPAA would like help to organise camps at other locations for groups of 40 or more individuals. CPAA charge Rs 100 per head for check ups by four doctors-ENT, physician, surgeon, gynaecologist and a simple blood test to rule out leukemia. Complete follow up for suspicious symptoms and support for treatment in case someone is diagnosed with cancer. 
Cancer Patients Aid Association - products like diyas, statues, sweet boxes, t-shirts, stationary items (diaries, file boxes, notepads, file holders, tissue boxes with matching cushions for car sets in silk and cotton ikat), linen (tablemats, napkins, tea cosies, aprons, laundry bags), paper bags, printing work (screen printing and off set), boxes, computerised embroidery.

Note: A cancer NGO in Delhi provides a variety of support services, free of cost, to people with cancer, with a focus on the needs of those with advanced disease. It runs a telephone help line that any one who wants information, referrals, emotional support, etc., related to cancer, can call. The help line is manned on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. by volunteers specially trained to give support.
