HelpAge India, has been working for the flood affected persons from the 29th of July, with our Mobile Medicare Vans, in the areas of Jari-Mari (east and
west), covering Islamia masjid, Kala nagar, Tanaji nagar, Satya Nagar, 90ft road, Sunder Nagar. In addition to this treatments were also provided at
Dharavi, Cheeta Camp, Shivaji Nagar and Mumbra. The relief work done is as under:
1) Treated 1307 patients (upto 3/8/05, 80% being women, children and elderly) for skin ailments, fever, diarrhoea, gastro, malaria and general weakness. The treatments will continue in these areas till 5/8/05..On 6th Aug,05 the vehicles will ,move to provide treatment to the affected persons at Kalina.
2) 500 most needy persons were provided with dry rations in the landslide affected area of Saki Naka.
