LIFE@SPJIMR
(Lasting Initiative for Environment) is a student initiative
at S. P. Jain
Institute of Management and Research to create awareness
on environmental issues.
As part of our activities, we had
organized an inter school / college competition of making
Environment Friendly Ganesha Idols. The competing idols were
displayed in an exhibition for the public. The idea was to
bring awareness amongst children about things which are bio
degradable and also to inform people at large of the various
easy and simple ways of making Eco friendly Ganesha idols
ahead of the popular festival.

Purpose
of the event
To
create awareness amongst students and their parents and the
public at large about the harmful impact of non
biodegradable Ganesha Idols.
Also,
to showcase that eco friendly Ganesha Idols can be made
cheaply and in an attractive manner.
