500 gm waste is generated per person per day (650 gm by rich people, 300 gm by poor) x 5 people / family = 2.5 kg waste / day / home.
On this basis, lot of things can be calculated -- bin sizes, trucks needed, possible cost savings, etc. OVERESTIMATE.  RICH 450 GM, POOR 125-250 GM PER CAPITA PER DAY.

Rs. 140 cr is spent on transporting garbage.PER DAY? WEEK? MONTH? YR?

60% people live in slums. Generate 50% of the garbage....NOOOO!!  60% LIVE IN SLUMS, GENERATION PER FAMILY IS 20-25% OF RICH.

It takes 30 days in theory to vermi-compost, 45 days in practice. This is needed to calculate pit size.  UPTO 60 DAYS FOR MATURITY.
