Wockhardt
took major initiative for controlling AIDS epidemic in India
and established NGO with the help of Harvard Medical International,
a
Harvard University affiliate.
The NGO called WHARF ( Wockhardt HIV/AIDS Education and Research
Foundation)
will provide training to clinicians, nurses, paramedics and
counsellors to
acquire knowledge in the areas of HIV/AIDS.
